Entrepreneur and humanitarian Ewing Marion Kauffman established the Foundation bearing his name to support the causes he was passionate about—improving lives through education and entrepreneurship and helping to make Kansas City a better place to live and work. Through research and programs, the Kauffman Foundation works to increase the percentage of students in Kansas City reaching academic and life outcomes that prepare them for postsecondary success. The Foundation has provided funding for the Kansas City Teacher Residency program in its first year.
